This driver fixes all known problems with RDC-5000 and RDC-5300 digital cameras not being recognized properly under Windows 2000. Run this setup file to install the driver files into their own folder. Read the "readme" file for directions on how to remove your existing RDC-5000 or RDC-5300 USB drivers prior to installing these new drivers. This update is not required if your camera's USB is operating properly or if you do not have Windows 2000.

This driver fixes all known problems with RDC-5000 digital cameras not being recognized properly under Windows 98 Second Edition and Widnows ME. Run this setup file to install the driver files into their own folder. Read the "readme" files for direction on how to remove your existing RDC-5000 USB drivers prior to installing these new drivers. This update is not required if your camera's USB is operating properly or if you do not have Windows 98 Second Edition or Windows ME. Please note that if you misplaced your original software CD you can use these drivers with Windows 98 as well as Windows 98 SE and Windows ME.

Problem: RDC-5000 and RDC-5300 cameras have a USB compatibility problem under Macintosh OS 9.0 and other new Macintosh products running Macintosh USB version 1.30 or greater

Solution: The cameras firmware must be upgraded. This firmware upgrade is free of charge.

Procedure:
1. Determine the USB version of your Macintosh by clicking the Apple icon on the left side of the upper menu bar. Select "Apple system profile" in the pull down menu. Then, select the "Devices and Volume" tab in the pop up window. The USB version will look like this;

2. If the version shown is 1.30 or higher, the cameras firmware must be upgraded.
